Aligners

Discreet and gradual, clear aligners effectively improve teeth position for adults and teenagers who are conscious about the visibility of traditional braces.

Fast Front Teeth Alignment

This discreet orthodontic technique utilizes a set of personalized aligners designed to gently shift misaligned or crowded teeth into a more desirable alignment. By offering a less noticeable approach to teeth straightening, it is particularly well-suited for individuals, whether adults or teenagers, who may feel self-conscious about wearing highly visible braces.

One of the key advantages of these innovative aligners is their removability, allowing you to maintain your regular oral hygiene routine without any hindrance. You can brush and floss your teeth as usual, enjoy your favourite foods without restrictions, and even remove the aligners for special events or occasions, providing you with flexibility and convenience throughout your orthodontic journey.

What does treatment involve?

Using our scanning technology, we first take scans of your teeth to collect precise measurements for your custom aligners. We use special 3D technology to create a personalised plan, which shows how your teeth will move and also how they will look after treatment.

When the aligners are ready, you will wear a different one every two weeks until the carefully controlled force shifts your teeth to a better position. You may feel minor discomfort when a new aligner is fitted but this is usually just a feeling of pressure and a good indicator that the treatment is working.

Treatment times will vary depending on your individual issue, but most cases are completed in 6-12 months. As the aligners only work while you are actually wearing them, we recommend they are kept in place for 22–24 hours per day.

When is root canal treatment needed?

With modern anaesthesia and techniques, root canal treatment is generally a pain free procedure. However it is likely that the patient will get some post-operative discomfort after the anaesthetic has worn off. In the vastmajority of cases this can be controlled with regular over the counter pain relief such as ibuprofen and paracetamol.

You may have visited the dental practitioner if you had symptoms of a pulp infection such as:

  • Pain when eating or drinking hot or cold food or drink
  • Pain when biting or chewing
  • A loose tooth
  • Swelling of the gum near the infected tooth
  • Pus oozing from around the infected tooth
  • Facial swelling
  • The tooth getting darker in colour.

An x-ray of your tooth may show the cause of pain or infection. Antibiotics are not effective in treating root canal infections. The two treatment options are removing the tooth or having a root canal treatment.

What does a CBCT test for?

Why do dentists refer to a specialist orthodontist?

General dentists refer to orthodontists complex cases and patients that are still growing. Such cases need a specialist orthodontist. Orthodontists require additional education and training before they’re able to call themselves a specialist. While some orthodontists still practice general dentistry, most focus solely on their specialty.

What is Botox®?

Botox® is a purified protein which when injected into a muscle leads to a temporary muscular relaxation. Frown lines, forehead, and laughter lines are all caused by the repeated contractions of facial muscles: relaxing these muscles with Botox injections is a quick, safe and effective way to smooth and soften wrinkles.

Can I meet my dentist before the treatment?

Absolutely! Your clinician wil introduce themselves when you meet at your first visit. Building a strong patient-dentist relationship is important to us. Your initial examination visit enables us to understand your needs and address any concerns. We ensure open communication, so you can freely discuss any worries before proceeding with treatment. What are ‘fillers’ and which areas can be treated?

Dermal Fillers, like Teosyal®, are modern medical gels designed to fill out and smooth away lines, wrinkles and folds, and to add volume to lips. This is an excellent treatment for nasal furrows, smile lines, lip enhancement and facial contouring.

The main component of Teosyal® fillers is hyaluronic acid, a biosynthesized version of one of the body’s own natural substances. The amount of hyaluronic acid produced by the body decreases significantly as we age; as a result, the skin becomes dryer, thinner and less supple, rendering it increasingly prone to wrinkling. Injecting fillers into skin not only adds volume where the body’s own hyaluronic acid has been depleted, but also draws water into the area improving skin hydration and elasticity.
